This Picture Was Banned from a Court Dealing with Abortion

It’s a picture that has traveled around the world called “Hand of Hope,” and it is being censored by Democratic Rep. Diana DeGette of Colorado
The liberal, pro-choice politician ordered staffers to take down the iconic photo during a Tuesday hearing. The picture portrays a baby whose pregnancy could be terminated under legislation passed by the House of Representatives.
DeGette is the chairwoman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
She gave the order after Republican Rep. Gary Palmer of Alabama tried to enter the “Hand of Hope” into the court records.
The purpose of the hearing was to discuss the effects of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that overturned Roe v. Wade.
“I want to show a poster, this is world renowned, it’s gone in all types of magazines,” Palmer said. But DeGette stopped him and ordered that the poster be taken down.
“I think that’s pretty much self-explanatory,” Palmer told the media about DeGette’s abrupt reaction.
The “Hand of Hope” photo was taken by freelance photographer Michael Clancy for USA Today in 1999. It shows the hand of Samuel Armas grabbing the finger of a surgeon during a surgical procedure 21 weeks into the pregnancy.
“Suddenly, an entire arm thrust out of the opening, then pulled back until just a little hand was showing,” Clancy wrote on his website. “The doctor reached over and lifted the hand, which reacted and squeezed the doctor’s finger. As if testing for strength, the doctor shook the tiny fist. Samuel held firm. I took the picture!”
The House of Representatives passed the Women’s Health Protection Act in September, but a Senate filibuster has stopped the measure. If it gets passed, it would nullify parental consent laws in all 50 states and legalize abortion in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy. That would have included Armas.
DeGette would rather have 1,000 words in her court than one picture.

Here is a picture for the pro-abortion crowd… I guess these babies were not good enough for P.P. to cut up and sell for “parts” Maybe they were the wrong color? (thinkin’ aloud)

Did anyone catch how the story said the Demonrats where trying to pass a bill covering abortion all the way up to and including the 3rd trimester? I say No. A baby is viable by then. This is TERRIBLE!!!
