Rochelle Walensky, Joe Biden’s CDC Director, was forced to confess that the COVID-19 virus may have been leaked from a Wuhan lab.
In other words, they are finally admitting what most of us have known all along.
Senator John F. Kennedy pressed Walensky to look into “other possibilities” after he declared that most coronaviruses are of “animal origin.”
“Certainly a lab-based origin is one possibility,” Walensky reluctantly admitted.
This comes after a Chinese professor with strong ties to China’s Communist government proclaimed that COVID-19 pandemic was a biological weapon created by China.
Last week, an open letter signed by a group of the world’s leading scientists urged further investigation into the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
After months of negotiating a tour, WHO officials largely absolved China of responsibility for the COVID-19 pandemic after just a single three-hour visit to a virus lab in Wuhan.
The WHO repeated Chinese misinformation in the early weeks of the pandemic, claiming there was no human-to-human transmission of COVID, and even after admitting there was, the health organization claimed border controls were discriminatory.
An independent body ruled earlier this month that the WHO could have saved 3 million lives if it had advocated for travel restrictions earlier.
During an interview with CNN in March, Walensky’s predecessor, Robert Redfield, who worked under Donald Trump, also discussed the lab leak root of COVID, saying it was the “most likely” explanation.
In February, a prominent German scientist from the University of Hamburg published the results of a year-long analysis that concluded that a leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology was the most likely cause of the coronavirus pandemic.
Previously, the mainstream press and social media networks tried to bury concerns about COVID’s lab origins by labeling them “conspiracy theories” and censoring facts, but there are now far too many influential voices making the same case for that to happen.
