DNC Deputy Chairman Keith Ellison has admitted that Nancy Pelosi wants a Single Payer health system but is lying to the public about it.

DNC Deputy Chairman Keith Ellison, appearing in a secret tape of a local party meeting obtained by the Daily Caller. He outs Pelosi as a liar, exposes his party’s agenda, and lets moderate Democrats know that they’re being played – all in the span of a few short sentences.
“I believe in – I’m signed onto H.R. 676 which is a single-payer health care act. They call it Medicare for all. Yeah, universal health care. Real single-payer health care. I’m on that. But let me tell you this.”
At this point, Ellison stops and asks “Is anybody taping me right now?” Then, apparently convinced that no one is, he decides it’s safe to discuss Pelosi:
“OK, so, you may have heard that Nancy is not for it, but that’s not really true. Nancy has to represent a very diverse caucus. She does not like getting out ahead of the caucus too fast. So she’s trying to get – she’s, you know, you know – she actually likes the concept.
She says it’s the best way to do it. She says it’s the cheapest way to do it, but she’s got to make sure that she brings our Blue Dog friends along. …And by the way, for any of us progressives who get mad at the Blue Dogs, if we didn’t have them, some of them would be replaced by Republicans.”
In other words, Keith Ellison – the DNC deputy chairman – is admitting a few things that we already knew.
A: Pelosi is a liar.
B: The DNC is pro single-payer. If health care reform isn’t handled by a Republican President and Congress, it is 100% guaranteed that the planned march toward government-run healthcare will continue.
C: The Dems know how unpopular single-payer is in most of the country. Red districts don’t want it, blue dog districts don’t want it, and Pelosi is well aware that she can’t be open about it. That’s beacuse, like most Democrat positions, if they tell you their honest opinion, it will be rejected by the vast majority of the country.
D: Democrats don’t give a damn what the voters think. For the modern left, it’s “agenda über alles.” Dem leadership is – now provably – lying to voters in an effort to steamroll not just conservatives who dare disagree, but members of their own party who have misgivings as well.
