Senator John McCain is vowing to return to Washington after being treated for a brain cancer. “Yeah, I’m going to have to stay here a little bit longer, take some treatments. I’ll be back,” South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, his close friend was told. “I’ve been through worse.”

Graham said in the conversation with reporters on Wednesday evening, “So pray. God knows how this ends, not me. But I do know this: This disease has never had a more worthy opponent.”

Here is what Trump said about McCain’s surgery:

McCain underwent the surgery last week for a surgery above his eye. The Senate postponed the vote on the GOP health care bill to wait until McCain was rested up.

On Wednesday, McCain’s family said that during the surgery that cancerous tissue was found in his brain.

“The Senator and his family are reviewing further treatment options with his Mayo Clinic care team. Treatment options may include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation,” a statement said.

Doctors are saying now that McCain is recovering “amazingly” well and his family has said they really appreciate all the support that everyone sent in. He is in good spirits and will continue to recover at his home in Arizona.

Share this if you think that it’s time for John McCain to retire! Let’s pray that he recovers fully.
