President Donald Trump will sign an executive order which will launch “a commission to review alleged voter fraud and voter suppression in the U.S. election system” according to a report from the Associated Press.
Citing three White House officials, the report goes on to say that the new commission will be led by Vice President Mike Pence and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, and will include both Democrats and Republicans.
The commission will investigate allegations of improper voting and fraudulent voter registration at both the state and national level.
Trump frequently discussed the issue of voter fraud on the campaign trail. In January, then president-elect Trump promised a major investigation.
