Hillary Cancels NY ‘Victory Party’ Only 24-Hours Before Election – Even She Knows She’s Lost!

We heard last week a report about Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign making arrangements for a celebratory fireworks display over the Hudson River in New York City after the polls closed at the end of Election Day.

Many viewed those event preparations as being awfully presumptuous on the part of Clinton’s campaign, sort of putting the cart before the horse so to speak. It was scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m. EST, long before polls were closed nationwide, and many police officers and firefighters expressed their displeasure at being forced to provide security for the event which would detract from their normal duties in other areas of the city.

Perhaps the Clinton campaign listened to those complaints, or merely acknowledged that a Clinton victory is far from being a sure thing, as TMZ just reported that the planned celebratory fireworks display has been cancelled.

The United States Coast Guard, which had originally been asked for permission to conduct the fireworks display, told TMZ that Clinton’s campaign quietly contacted Coast Guard officials on Thursday to let them know that they would no longer be shooting off the colorful, yet volatile explosives over the city the night of Nov. 8.

No explanation for the reversal in plans was offered to the Coast Guard, nor to multiple media outlets who requested a comment on the cancellation of the event.

Most likely, Clinton’s campaign finally came to the conclusion that their candidate could very well lose the election, rendering a celebratory fireworks display a moot point and laughable on its face.

To be sure, Hillary Clinton could still manage to defeat her Republican rival Donald Trump, but if that turns out to be the case, her team will be celebrating with little more than sparklers instead of a massive fireworks show in the middle of New York City.
