Where Did All This Hate Come From? (Part II)

Share this:

At the end of part one of “Where did all this hate come from?” we began to discuss Michelle Obama and her involvement with the organization known as “Public Allies”. First and foremost it is vitally important to remember that Barack Obama was one of the core founders of “Public Allies” and wife Michelle became Executive Director of the Chicago Chapter in 1993.

Were you to do your own investigation of Public Allies naturally you would include a look-see at the group’s website.  When browsing the website http://www.publicallies.org/site/ you would find that the group appears to be pretty vanilla and very much in keeping with what it claims as it’s mission.  In fact it Public Allies almost appears as a 4H Club minus the livestock and with a stated purpose of the development of leadership for non-profit groups.

However, no less a luminary than Michelle Malkin author of “Culture of Corruption” (a Conservative #1 Best Seller which is widely considered to be the number one reference to what she (Michelle) sarcastically refers to as ‘Chicago on the Potomac’ the Obama administration) wrote about Public Allies back in 2008 while writing a series for Investor’s Business Daily.  The series was entitled “The Audacity of Socialism” and in it Malkin wrote “Obama plans to use the nonprofit group (Public Allies), which he features on his campaign Web site, as the model for a national service corps. He calls his Orwellian program, “Universal Voluntary Public Service.”

She goes on to write “Democrats’ reintroduction of militant Michelle Obama in Denver was supposed to show her softer side. But it only highlighted a radical part of her resume: Public Allies…Barack Obama was a founding member of the board of Public Allies in 1992, resigning before his wife became executive director of the Chicago chapter of Public Allies in 1993. Obama plans to use the nonprofit group, which he features on his campaign Web site, as the model for a national service corps. He calls his Orwellian program, “Universal Voluntary Public Service.” Big Brother had nothing on the Obama’s. They plan to herd American youth into government-funded reeducation camps where they’ll be brainwashed into thinking America is a racist, oppressive place in need of “social change.” No doubt these are very serious charges and you would think that if they were even remotely true that the Obama’s would have found a way to utilize the group prior to the (long awaited) end of their administration.

Malkin talked about the two missions of Public Allies the perceived mission “to place young adults (18-30) in paid one-year “community leadership” positions with nonprofit or government agencies.” and their hidden, far darker mission or what  Malkin refers to as “its (Public Allies) real mission” which she goes on further to explain “is to radicalize American youth and use them to bring about “social change” through threats, pressure, tension and confrontation — the tactics used by the father of community organizing, Saul “The Red” Alinsky.”

Apparently the group itself has alluded to it’s more radical goals more than once, such as this statement that Malkin found along with the groups tax filings  “Our alumni are more than twice as likely as 18-34 year olds to . . . engage in protest activities,” the statement boasted, something that would appear to be outside the accomplishments that one would normally desire ‘leaders’ to aspire too.  Other members of the group have listed among the positives of belonging to Public Allies “I get to practice being an activist”.

This makes more sense when it is revealed by Malkin that Public Allies “…has already deployed an army of 2,200 community organizers like Obama to agitate for “justice” and “equality” in his hometown of Chicago and other U.S. cities, including Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and Washington.”

It isn’t (or wasn’t) Michelle Malkin alone who was attempting to spread the word about Public Allies. Due diligence on anyone’s part can uncover a plethora of stories and video’s compiled by concerned citizens.  One such can be found on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGW136RLhSM this short video covers some of the things that have been presented in this article and also some additional pertinent information is presented by Fox New’s personality Eric Boiling and others.

Almost immediately after Obama’s initial speech referencing the civilian army Obama wished to build a Charles Lemos a writer for NoQuarterUSA a right wing blog wrote on July 20, 2008: Speaking of the speech Lemos said:

“Is he referencing the ATF, FBI, or DEA? Or something new and different say like the Defense of the Revolution Brigades that they have in Cuba and Venezuela where neighbors spy on neighbors? Surely he can’t mean the US Foreign Service and the Peace Corps et al be funded in the billions of dollars. Whatever he is referencing it sounds like a dramatic departure from current practice and current funding. And why did it take the press so long to catch the discrepancy between the speech as delivered and the prepared remarks? Why are the references in the transcript to this deleted or omitted? Should we be worried? He was rather emphatic about it so I doubt that he just got carried away and ad libbed it.”

Researching this subject via the Internet will take you to hundreds of articles and videos that have been scrubbed.  But many brave patriots continue to re-post these articles and videos as quickly as they are removed. Some that remain can (following study and scrutiny) be dismissed as crazed ramblings or even items written and posted by left wingers in an attempt to make anyone discussing this issue look like a buffoon who chases conspiracy theories. This is one of the favorite tactics of Team Obama (ask Sharon Atkinson)

If we continue to examine Michelle Obama’s role in the activist organization we can even turn to Right Wing columnists North of the Border, Judi McLeod is a very talented and knowledgeable author with over 30 years experience on the political front.  She authored an article in 2009 that talked about Michelle Obama’s leadership of Public Allies.

image“Since July of 2008, the chattering classes of America have been uneasy about Barack Obama’s proposal for a civilian national security force “as well-funded as the U.S. military”. (video).

The civilian national security force was already in place long before last July’s public proposal.  Its general doesn’t wear army fatigues but sleeveless dresses.

The General of this national security force is not out in the field in Iraq or Afghanistan, but running the troops from the White House. Meet First Lady Michelle Obama, General of Public Allies New Leadership for New Times.”

McLeod elaborates “Public Allies, modeled after Saul Alinsky’s “Peoples Organizations”, operating under General Michelle Obama, has an alleged operating budget of more than $75-million a year, and an impressive list of donors. (The Obama Files).  Naturally, it also receives grants from federal, state and municipal sources.

One third of Public Allies’ annual budget comes from AmeriCorps. To get an idea of this combo’s people power: “By early April, Obama will sign landmark legislation expanding AmeriCorps from 75,000 participants to 250,000 over the next few years.” (NewsWeek).”

Apparently even after her announced departure from the organization Michelle Obama was active in promoting it. Again according to McLeod’s article  “At her subsequent jobs at the University of Chicago and University of Chicago Medical Centre, Michelle hired more than a dozen Public Allies to work with her.  In addition, she has continued to advise, coach, donate to, and champion Public Allies.  President-elect Obama has trained several classes of Allies in community organizing, spoken at Public Allies Chicago events, and helped Senator Durbin secure an appropriation from the Department of Justice that successfully helped us better recruit and retain young men of color for our Chicago program and learn practices we are applying nationally.”

So there we have what Public Allies was
Part III will show us what it has become and why we should worry
