Multiple people sustained injuries in a shark attack at South Padre Island on July 4th.
The same shark reportedly attacked four swimmers enjoying the waters off the southern coast of Texas.
Police said the attacks occurred around 11 a.m. local time along Beach Access 14.
Authorities received a call reporting a ‘severe’ shark bite to the leg.
One victim had a bite-shaped chunk missing from her calf, the New York Post reports.

Wails of pain can be heard as bystanders rush to wrap a makeshift tourniquet below her knee — just inches from where the shark sunk its teeth into her flesh.
The woman was one of two who were bitten by what officials believe was the same shark — a man was severely bitten in his leg around 11 a.m., officials said.
The man’s father-in-law said he saw the victim get suddenly dragged under the water.
“I started swimming towards him, and he jumped out of the water saying, ‘Shark, shark, shark,’ and that’s when adrenaline kicked in. I started swimming after him,” Rayner Cardenas told KRGV.
Two other swimmers “encountered” the shark but were not seriously hurt, Texas Parks and Wildlife officials said. One was grazed and received minor injuries, while a man fought off the shark and received stitches.
Investigators suspect the same shark is to blame for the “abnormal and unprecedented” attacks.
“Four shark attacks reported at South Padre Island in Texas during Fourth of July celebrations. Game Warden Capt. Chris Dowdy says all the attacks happened within two hours of each other,” Collin Rugg wrote.
“One woman had a chunk bitten out her her leg as Good Samaritans were seen dragging her to safety. Two men and two females were reportedly attacked. One of the men was sent to the hospital. His current condition is unknown,” he added.

A SHARK ATTACKED 4 PEOPLE ON TEXAS BEACH
A shark inflicted life-threatening wounds on at least two 4th of July celebrators today on South Padre beach in Southern Texas.
The attacks all happened within moments of one another.

Per ABC News:
First responders from the South Padre Island police and fire departments provided treatment at the scene before the man was transported to Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, police said.
Footage from a beachgoer who witnessed the incident showed a shark swimming near the shore in the vicinity of that attack.
A second person was bitten by the shark, while one was grazed and another injured fending off the shark, Dowdy told KRGV.
The second bite victim was also taken to Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville. One of the two bite victims was flown out for “further treatment,” Police said Thursday night.
Officials had previously said four separate shark bites were reported before later clarifying the nature of the incidents.
The shark has escaped to open waters and there is no plan to contain the shark at this time, Dowdy told the station.
