BREAKING: House Passes Bill To Make DC 51st State In Purely Partisan Power-Grab

In a move to further solidify their power, the Democrat House just absurdly passed a bill to make DC the 51st state. The purely partisan vote passed 216-218 without a single Republican vote.

The proposal, backed by President Joe Biden and leaders in both chambers of Congress, was all but guaranteed to pass through the Democrat-led House. But it nevertheless faces daunting odds in the Senate, so long as the legislative filibuster remains in place.

Democrats are just doing this to increase their power and get more seats in the Senate. Which is ironic, because this doesn’t stand a chance of passing in the Senate. It will never overcome the filibuster and we have Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema to thank for not allowing Democrats to kill the filibuster.

Statehood “is nothing more than an unconstitutional power grab by Democrats to gain two ultra-progressive D.C Senate seats [and] enforce radical, far-left policies on the American people,” Rep. Guy Reschenthaler, R-Pa., said on the House floor.
