Biden’s HHS Pick Has Advocated For Performing Sex Changes On Small Children

Dr. Rachel Levine, President Joe Biden’s pick for Assistant Secretary of Health at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is under fire for advocating for sex changes in prepubescent children.

According to The National Pulse, Levine has given lectures since at least 2012 on how to perform sex changes and gender conversion therapy on children.

According to Levine, children should be able to choose their own gender and has advised parents to “try not to force them one way or other.”

At a 2017 speech at Franklin & Marshall College, Levine said children are aware of what gender they want to be around the age of five or six.

Levine suggested puberty blockers and and cross-gender hormone injections for gender non-conforming young adolescents.

According to the article, Levine has expressed doubts about the “controversial” requirement that patients receive psychological evaluations before undergoing drastic medical regimens.

In 2017, Levine described the two-step process for for gender-dysphoric adolescents. Youth are first prescribed puberty-blockers during the first stages of puberty. After counseling, cross-gender hormones are introduced between the ages of 14 and 16. Then, around age 18, the patient may undergo surgery. However, Levine noted that there are sometimes exceptions. In certain instances, Levine has said, surgical procedures may be performed on patients under the age of 18.

Levine went on to say that doctors may discard the two-step process and “accelerate” the process when dealing with “street kids,” who may be tempted to buy hormones off the street. In these cases, Levine said, doctors may skip the blockers altogether and go straight to cross-gender hormones, likely at ages even younger than the 14-16 range. This is condemned by most medical practitioners.

The National Pulse is calling Levine unfit for her role as Biden’s Assistant Secretary of Health and is asking for the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee to press Levine, and other Biden nominees to HHS, about their support for such radical proposals.
