File this one under “world’s dumbest criminal”. Or, possibly, a guy trying to commit suicide by cop. Either way, it didn’t go so well for him.
A police body-cam video shows a man steal a woman’s purse while she is being interviewed by a police officer.
The fleet-footed felon didn’t get very far, as he was tackled by the wind and fell down screaming.
Failing to make his getaway, he decides the best course of action is to scream at the cop to shoot him.
This continues for a good few minutes before backup arrives and nonchalantly walks up and gives him a little tickle from his taser.
