Tucker Carlson cast doubt on Sidney Powell’s massive claim that the election was stolen, something he said would be the biggest crime in our nation’s history. He explains below:
The meat of these videos is this. Tucker said he contacted Powell about her claims last Sunday night, to see the evidence and for her to come on the show. This is the response he said he got:
We invited Sidney Powell on this show. We would’ve given her the whole hour. We would have given her the entire week actually and listened quietly the whole time at rapt attention. That’s a big story. But she never sent us any evidence despite a lot of requests, polite requests, not a page. When we kept pressing, she got angry and told us to stop contacting her. When we checked with others around the Trump campaign, people in positions of authority, they told us Powell has never given them any evidence either. Nor did she provide any today at the press conference.
My first thought on this is that Powell is saving her evidence for the trial and doesn’t want to reveal her cards yet. That seems reasonable to me, but you’d think that other high ups in the Trump campaign would at least know about some of it and could verify that she does indeed have evidence for her claims. Also Tucker has the biggest show in the news business so having him in your corner is not a bad thing, especially considering the good reputation he has these days.
None of this is to say that she doesn’t have the evidence she claims to have, and even Tucker went on to say “Maybe Sidney Powell will come forward soon with details on exactly how this happened and precisely who did it. Maybe she will. We are certainly hopeful that she will.”
I don’t think it’s a stretch to say Powell’s claims are incredible, and some part of me thinks they are too good to be true. But at the same time, I also believe they seem quite plausible considering how much the left hates Trump. They would do anything they can to make sure he doesn’t get re-elected, and I’m ready and willing to believe Powell has the evidence to back up her story of what happened. After all, the days are over of me believing the MSM when they mock and ridicule Trump over accusations he makes. Like when they mocked him for saying that Obama wiretapped his campaign in 2017. Trump was RIGHT!
It may sound like Tucker is dismissing Powell out of hand, but I don’t believe that’s the case. He went on for several minutes explaining why he doesn’t dismiss her claims, especially related to technology, and why he wanted to see the evidence backing them up. Watch both videos and keep that in mind before you judge Tucker too harshly.
