It’s no surprise that leftists like Michelle Obama don’t place high value on parenthood.
The former First Lady said in her newly-released Netflix documentary Becoming that having children was a “concession” that cost her “aspirations and dreams.”
She made the remarks while talking about her desire to become “equal” to her husband, President Barack Obama.
“My relationship with Barack was all about our equal partnership,” she recalled. “If I was going to have a unique voice with this very opinionated man, I had to get myself up and set myself off to a place where I was going to be his equal.”
However, the birth of their two daughters, Malia and Sasha, “changed” the course of the couple’s relationship.
“The thing that really changed it was the birth of our children. I wasn’t really ready for that. That really made it harder,” the former first lady explained. “Something had to give and it was my aspirations and dreams.”
“I made that concession not because he said ‘you have to quit your job,’ but it felt like ‘I can’t do all of this so I have to tone down my aspirations, I have to dial it back,’” she added.
Before most women get married, they have decided if children will be in the picture. In fact, most young women when thinking about their future already know that they want to raise a family as part of their future “dreams.”
Michelle Obama thinks like most hardcore feminists who see kids as a burden, not as a blessing from God.
Instead of adding to their lives, children are viewed as problems that have to be dealt with. Many of these same feminists resent the men in their lives.
Michelle Obama made headlines this week for a snippet of Becoming in which she said it was a “slap in the face’’ that some black Americans opted against voting in the 2016 presidential election
“It takes some energy to go high, and we were exhausted from it … when you’re the first black anything,’’ she stated, referring to her and her husband’s failed efforts to help elect Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton.
“You know, the day I left the White House, it was painful to sit on that stage, and then a lot of our folks didn’t vote — it was almost a slap in the face,” the former first lady continued.
“It wasn’t just in this election, but every midterm, every time Barack didn’t get the Congress he needed, that was because our folks didn’t show up,” she added. “After all that work, they just couldn’t be bothered to vote at all. That’s my trauma.”
Americans blasted Michelle Obama badly on social media.

Cultural Marxism is what those like Michelle Obama espouse. They were taught that women should not feel the need to raise their own children and that the children should be solely educated by the state.
Those same teachings led to the 1960s Women’s movement that told women being married and having children was no accomplishment. No, women had to get a major degree and get a full-time job to be fulfilled. This is what led to the breakdown of the family and “latch-key” kids.
Divorces became commonplace, and the mothers were left to work crazy hours and raise the kids. By making “stay at home” moms believe there was no value to raising their kids in the 1960s, Michelle Obama was born into a leftist movement that preached the only way a woman is happy is to gain as much power as possible.
So, we shouldn’t be surprised the former first lady isn’t embarrassed by admitting her own daughters were a burden and got in the way of her dreams.
