Always has to be those pesky Russians. Although with Sanders and his love of all things communism, this really does make sense.
Seems that those Russians who like to do phone pranks were able to get through to socialist superhero Bernie Sanders back in November, posing as Greta Thunberg and her father.

In the recording, an unnamed female pretends to be Greta, and Stolyarov plays her father, Svante. They offer to lend support to the campaign of a man who identifies himself as Sanders, and the man welcomes it.
The 78-year-old Sanders suggests that “Greta” make a statement in his support and that they do an event together when she next comes to the U.S. “I would be really appreciative,” he says.
“Greta” then proposes to record a rap song in support of Sanders together with “singer Billie Eilish and rapper Kanye West.”
Sanders says that would be “terrific” and tries to end the conversation, but the duo says “Greta” is about to visit Russia and needs advice on how to behave there.
The Vermont senator tells her to be careful to not be used for PR purposes. “I think what you don’t want to do is simply walk in there and get used,” he says.
“Russia and (President Vladimir) Putin has been very bad, as far as I know, on climate change. They have a lot of oil, oil is important for their economy, they make a lot of money on oil,” Sanders explains.
Yup, that is a typical 60’s commie for you. Putin has been bad ummmmmmm for the environment.
Right after that exchange, the person playing Greta informed (reminded) Sanders that he was a KGB plant and now was the time to be “activated” from his sleeper cell mode. Sanders at this point hung up the phone although we are not sure because he was shocked by that announcement or giddy that the time had finally come.
That Sanders was even playing to the fact that some 17-year-old FOREIGNER was willing to interfere in U.S. elections to throw her support behind him is something that the United States Congrees needs to immediately investigate. Why would Bernie be trying to garner foreign endorsements?
Who is pulling Sanders’s strings? WHO? I DEMAND.
Maybe we will all find out when Sanders gets pranked next time by Borat.
