Soledad O’Brien, who left CNN in 2013, burned the network over a report noting that none of President Donald Trump’s senior White House officials are black.
The article coming the day after ABC News anchor Jonathan Karl set up Kellyanne Conway, asking the president’s counselor to name one prominent black adviser who serves in the West Wing of the White House.
“Very terrible! But, uh, walk me through the senior black staff at @CNNPolitics or @cnn or, hey, I’ll take cable news….,” O’Brien tweeted.

To her point, O’Brien was spot on. Here’s an image of CNN’s senior leadership:
The response from the network that all but dedicates 24/7 coverage to taking out President Trump?

Of course, Barack Obama, the first African-American president was exactly a pillar of diversity when it came to his senior staff.
Here’s an image from Wikimedia Commons of President Obama meeting with senior advisors in the Oval Office, June 15, 2012.
Here’s a sampling of the reactions to O’Brien from Twitter, which shows that CNN may not be the only media source guilty of not practicing what they preach:
