On Monday, a majority of Senate Democrats, joined by two Republicans, voted to block a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks. The bill needed 60 votes to proceed, but only attained a count of 51-46.
According to The Daily Wire, there were at least a few Democrats who were far from disappointed at the final vote tally on the proposed 20-weeks abortion ban. And they displayed their pleasure with the result in a rather unseemly fashion on the Senate floor as the last votes were still coming in.
Check out this snippet of video, which appears to capture North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp giving a high-five to Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York after casting her “No” vote.
