Late night television has become little more than a Trump-bashing orgy, and Jay Leno, for one, has had enough.
Leno was for decades the king of late night TV, and he finds what the genre has become today nothing short of shameful.
From Stephen Colbert to Jimmy Kimmel to Seth Meyers, all any of them do anymore is trash the president, often citing fake news to do so.
Leno finds it all very tasteless. In a recent interview with Celebrity Insider, he said:
“I enjoy bringing people together. If mocking the president is a constant thing on a nightly basis, eventually you’re all doing the same joke.”
More than that, Leno tried to explain that what today’s late night hosts are doing is bad for business.
Alienating half of your potential audience by smearing the man they voted into the White House can ultimately only lead to tanked ratings.
But the sad reality is that it’s no longer about good, clean entertainment like it was in Leno’s days. The media, and that includes late night television, is now on a political mission in service to the liberal agenda.
