President Trump’s done it again. He’s kept a major campaign promise, and he’s done so BIGLY.
A lot of American tech companies are outsourcing their manufacturing to Chinese giant Foxconn, and getting them to bring that work back to American shores has been difficult.
So, what does Trump do? He gets Foxconn to move its manufacturing to the US, at least in part.
The company announced this week that it will begin construction on a $10 billion manufacturing plant in Wisconsin. That building project alone is going to be a major boost to the local economy.
The plant, which will make LCD screens, will initially employ 3,000 people, and Trump White House officials expect that number to balloon to as many as 13,000 in coming years.
Additionally, if the Wisconsin plant proves a success, Foxconn could build more manufacturing centers in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.
This is a MAJOR win for the American economy, and something Obama failed to accomplish over 8 long years. And Trump did it in just 6 MONTHS!
