Not willing to wait for the mainstream media to get its act together, President Trump on Tuesday took to Twitter to deliver an important update regarding the war against ISIS directly to the American people.
Turns out, after eight years of doing next to nothing under Obama, we are finally WINNING!
Last week, US-backed Iraqi military forces finally ousted ISIS from the strategic city of Mosul, which had served as the jihadist horde’s capital in Iraq.
Now, credible Syrian sources are confirming that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed.
And Trump couldn’t be more pleased.
Reuters reported on the developments:
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights told Reuters on Tuesday that it had “confirmed information” that Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has been killed.
The report came just days after the Iraqi army recaptured the last sectors of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, which Baghdadi’s forces overran almost exactly three years ago.
“(We have) confirmed information from leaders, including one of the first rank who is Syrian, in the Islamic State in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zor,” said Rami Abdulrahman, the director of the British-based war monitoring group.
