Last night Chuck Schumer finally held his Senate vote on dumping the filibuster in order to pass their election bill, a bill that would nationalize elections and take them away from the states.
And of course, as we all knew would happen and was completely predictable, both Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema joined Republicans to protect the filibuster, thus killing any and all chances the bill would pass. It’s over.

Sinema with a rather loud “Aye” vote, as she and Manchin side with Republicans on this vote. It means the nuclear option on the filibuster will not succeed.

Wow — Sinema shouts out “aye” to sustain the chairs ruling blocking Democrats from a filibuster carve-out.

Robert Reich, a far left economist who is very popular with Democrats, was very unhappy with the outcome and actually suggested Democrats slap Sinema with the back of their hands because of her vote:

I guess Reich realized he’d advocated violence against a woman and has since deleted his tweet. But as you can clearly see, it got noticed.
For the record, @maggieNYT has ignored this call for violence on a female Senator. pic.twitter.com/PElB6iyBzQ

Robert Reich is 4’11”. If he wanted to backhand Sinema, he’d need a set of doggie stairs. pic.twitter.com/GY04IzCufX
