Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) said AIPAC announced a six-figure ad campaign against him after he voted to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson.

AIPAC-affiliated United Democracy Project reportedly intends to run ads against Massie for his refusal to vote for aid to the Israeli government and legislation to combat anti-Semitism since October 7th.
“UDP spokesperson Patrick Dorton said the group is ‘not playing [around]’ in Massie’s May 21 primary election, where he faces no serious primary opposition. The group is making an initial buy of $300,000 in TV air time on all Fox affiliate channels in Kentucky,” Jewish Insider reports.
“We are shining a spotlight on Tom Massie’s atrocious anti-Israel record,” Dorton said.
Massie remains among the few public servants who doesn’t capitulate to sending American taxpayer dollars to fund foreign conflicts.
The Kentucky Republican has remained principled on his stance against foreign aid.

Massie, a libertarian-minded Republican generally opposed to foreign aid, is seen as a potential contender for Kentucky’s Senate seat in 2026; Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who has faced health issues and recently announced plans to step down as GOP leader, is not expected to run for reelection.
The 30-second advertisement asserts that Israel is “under attack by Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah and Congressman Tom Massie.”
“Republicans are trying to help Israel, but one Republican is standing in the way,” the narrator states. “Fifteen times in April, Massie was the only Republican voting with anti-Israel radicals. Massie’s votes: helpful for Iran, harmful to Israel.”
“Everyone who cares about the Holy Land needs to know, Tom Massie is hostile to Israel,” the ad concludes.
The super PAC previously ran a series of TV, radio and digital ads last year targeting Massie’s votes on Israel issues.
“I actually won’t accept the premise that AIPAC has the right to interfere in an American election on behalf of a foreign country,” Massie previously told Glenn Greenwald.

“I don’t support foreign aid. My position is that we are almost $34 trillion in debt. We can’t afford to help other countries. A lot of times foreign aid is taking from the middle class in one country and giving it to the rich in another country,” he added.
“In the case of Israel, their debt-to-GDP is in a better position than our debt-to-GDP,” he noted.

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) got in a heated back-and-forth with a leading pro-Israel lobbying group Tuesday after he announced his opposition to a $14 billion aid package for Israel being pushed by House GOP leadership.
“If Congress sends $14.5 billion to Israel, on average we’ll be taking about $100 from every working person in the United States,” Massie said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “This will be extracted through inflation and taxes. I’m against it.”
The $14.3 billion aid package for Israel would include $1.2 billion for the development of the Iron Beam defense system and $4 billion for Israel’s Iron Dome and David’s Sling defense systems.
The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) responded to the congressman in a post that pointed out his vote last week, along with nine progressive Democrats, against the resolution backing Israel and condemning Hamas last week.
Massie has condemned the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, but he said he opposed the resolution because it calls for sanctions, which he does not support, and “asserts the necessity of foreign aid commitments which I have voted against.”
The ad buy against Massie follows the failed attempt to remove Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) from the speakership, which had Massie’s support.
