As President Trump works his way through trials, his campaign trail continues to heat up.

A major question for President Trump has been who his Vice President pick would be for his ticket.

Dozens of names have been tossed out throughout the past few months, but the spotlight is supposedly narrowed down to four contenders.

CNBC provides more on the potential shortlist of Vice Presidents:

Republican Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, J.D. Vance of Ohio and Tim Scott of South Carolina are all “special guests.” So is North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, another reported short-lister.

As for when Trump might announce his running mate, the former president said Wednesday that he doesn’t plan to unveil his choice until closer to the Republican National Convention, which begins July 15 in Milwaukee.

The Republican Party will be convening over the weekend at the RNC spring donor retreat in Palm Beach, with each of the potential Vice President candidates in the spotlight.

Each of the candidates have merit in becoming Vice President.

Starting with Governor Doug Bergum, who is a strong candidate as a bona fine entrepreneur to successful governor.

Senator Marco Rubio has a strong veteran presence and is a major player in the foreign policy department – it surely doesn’t hurt with Florida’s pivotal role in elections.

Senator J.D. Vance has a strong story as a blue collar worker, who worked his way up as a senator.

Vance also has a strong stance on immigration and trade, perfect for the Republican Party.

Finally, Tim Scott, who is the only African American Republican Senator, has a unique perspective on race and economic issues.

Scott has the potential to widen the ticket allure throughout diverse voter demographics.

The four Vice President hopefuls will surely use this weekend to make a name for themselves and push themselves above the others.
