A man was seriously injured after a fire started at a kiosk near the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.
D.C. Fire and EMS responded and found the kiosk engulfed in flames.
The man sustained “serious non-life-threatening injuries” and is expected to survive.

“Update one alarm fire Lincoln Memorial Circle NW kiosk on fire. 1 patient with serious injuries. @usparkpolicepio helicopter will fly the victim. Bulk of fire knocked down. Continue to cool propane tanks. Request hazmat unit,” DC Fire and EMS said in an update.

The New York Post reports:
The one-alarm fire resulted in one victim who was airlifted with “serious non-life-threatening injuries,” DC Fire and EMS confirmed.
Firefighters put out the fire and secured propane tanks from the concession hut, the officials added.
Video from the scene showed several DC firefighters at the scene while the charred kiosk was being hosed down.
Two gas tanks could be seen set aside on the pavement.

NBC Washington added:
A U.S. Park Police helicopter took the victim for medical treatment, D.C. Fire said. He is expected to survive. U.S. Park Police said the victim is associated with the kiosk.
The fire has been extinguished, officials said.
Propane tanks were secured at the scene, D.C. Fire said.
Video shows firefighters hosing down the damaged kiosk. Two blackened propane tanks can be seen several feet away with the Reflecting Pool and Washington Monument in the background.
