After her husband, former president Donald Trump, was formally indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg earlier this month, former first lady Melania Trump has been silent on social media. However, she broke her silence over the weekend and suddenly re-emerged on social media.
There was also a noticeable absence of the First Lady at Donald Trump’s post-arraignment speech at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida last week, according to a report by the New York Post.
“I have a great family, and they’ve done a fantastic job and we appreciate it very much. They’ve gone through a lot,” Donald Trump said at the time.
Melania Trump posted a holiday message on Twitter on Sunday, tweeting “Happy Easter!” along with a picture of a festive pink rose for the occasion.

Taking to his Truth Social platform, the former president didn’t hesitate to wrfite his own ‘Easter’ message to the world, in all caps:

“Melania and Donald were both shocked when they were told” about the indictment, People reported.
“They weren’t expecting it, but Melania will support him. That’s what she does. They are a family,” the unnamed sourced added in their statement to the outlet.
According to another source located in Palm Beach, Florida, the location of the former first couple’s Mar-a-Lago estate, once the former first couple learned about the indictment by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, they didn’t change their social schedule and continued to dine with friends at their estate the following evening after learning of the impending charges.
“Like usual, drama swirls around them, and they wade through it. It’s part of their lives,” the source said.
At the event, Trump advisor Gina Loudon said that the Trump family behaved as if everything were normal after tweeting about the event, “Beautiful evening here at the gorgeous Mar a Lago!” along with some photos and a little passive aggressive jab at the prying media.

Similar observations about the former first couple were quoted in the UK’s Daily Mail.
“Mrs. Trump is strong. She is focused on her family and stands behind her husband, as she always has,” the source said. “For the past seven years, the left has made multiple attempts to smear and attack her family, and this is just the latest attempt to bring him down.”
The report also indicated that on the day her husband was indicted, “Melania Trump wore a vivid red dress, making it easy to pick her out in the crowd.”
“For the former first lady, who often lets her clothes speak for her, it was a bold statement,” according to the Daily Mail report.
The outlet went on to report that neither Melania nor their son, Barron Trump, were seen among the entourage that accompanied the former president to New York, when he was arraigned in a Manhattan courtroom on Tuesday of last week.
In November, Melania Trump spoke out about Donald Trump’s decision to run for the GOP nomination in 2024.
“I support my husband’s decision to run for president of this wonderful Nation. His achievements during his administration had a great effect on all of us, and he can lead us toward success and prosperity again. I await the day when my husband returns to lead an America that is characterized by peace, love, and security,” she said, according to Breitbart News.
“America’s comeback starts right now,” the former president said to a room full of supporters at the time. “Unlike other presidents, I kept my promises.”
