Hunter Biden’s Allies Caught In Plan To Intimidate Investigators

A recent Washington Post report says Hunter Biden’s friends plan to go after Republicans who have promised to investigate the Biden family’s alleged influence peddling.

The report comes as no surprise to Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) or James Comer (R-Ky.), the incoming chairs of the House Judiciary Committee and the Oversight and Reform Committee, respectively.

“They have been running digital ads against me for almost three weeks now,” Comer told Fox News’s Jesse Waters on Monday.

“But, you know what? That’s part of it. They’re not going to intimidate me. They have been doing this to Jim Jordan and Kevin McCarthy as well.

“We’re going to press forward with our investigation. We’re being very transparent with the press and the American people about what we’re investigating, why we’re investigating, and what information we need.

“I don’t think it’s very hard to comply with our simple request. But, unfortunately, they’re going to extreme routes. They’re trying to intimidate the investigators. Now they’re trying to intimidate the witnesses. So we’ll see how this plays out. But in the end I’m pretty confident the American people are going get the truth.”

According to the Dec. 10 article in “The Washington Post”:

“Hunter Biden’s friend and lawyer Kevin Morris was blunt in laying out his thoughts at a strategy session last September on an expected onslaught of investigations by House Republicans: It was crucial, Morris suggested, for Hunter Biden’s camp to be more aggressive.

“Morris, at the meeting in his California home, described defamation lawsuits the team could pursue against the presidential son’s critics, including Fox News, Eric Trump and Rudy Giuliani. He outlined extensive research on two potential witnesses against Hunter Biden — a spurned business partner named Tony Bobulinski and a computer repairman named John Paul Mac Isaac.”

Jesse Waters told Comer, “Hunter Biden says he is going to sue anchors who report on his shenanigans. Where do you think those lawsuits are going to go?” he asked.

“Well, good luck,” Comer said:

“I mean, the problem that Hunter has is there’s evidence to back up what “The New York Post” has written. There’s evidence to back up what Fox commentators and what Fox reporters have said about Hunter Biden.

“I mean, the laptop is a legitimate document that contains all sorts of evidence of influence peddling by him, his uncle and all sorts of references that Hunter Biden made to his father being an equity partner, being ‘the big guy,’ and even asked for keys to be made so his father could have office space in their new office which was by the way, going to help China get their foot in the door in the American natural gas industry.”

‘How the left operates’

“Intimidation is how the left operates,” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), the incoming chair of the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News’s Sean Hannity Monday night.

Jordan gave the example of former FBI Director James Comey going to New York to pressure Donald Trump with a dossier Comey knew was “baloney.” Jordan also noted the intimidation tactics used against conservative Supreme Court justices.

“So, yeah, we have to look into this and how political that justice department has become,” he said.

Hannity asked Jordan if he thinks “The Washington Post” is telegraphing an intimidation campaign against witnesses, investigators, and the media if they dare to look into alleged Biden influence-peddling. “Do you think this is an organized, well-orchestrated, intimidation effort to protect the Bidens?” Hannity asked.

“Of course it is!” Jordan said.

“And this is not the first story. There was one four weeks ago, right up to the election. Politico puts the story out. David Brock and his group are coming after anyone who investigates the Bidens.

“So it’s not that they just told us once, they’ve now told us twice. So when someone tells you once, okay, but they’ve told us now twice? Of course they’re coming after folks.

“But the fact is, we have a duty to do the work, to get the truth out there, to get the facts out there. That’s step one in stopping this kind of baloney from happening in the future.

“We can’t have a Justice Department that’s political. We can’t have a Justice Department that’s working hand in hand with the biggest social media platforms to limit what information Americans see. You just can’t. That’s what we have to focus on and do our job.”
