Joe Biden made a bizarre and passive aggressive comment targeting “brave right-wing Americans” Tuesday, during an political rally in Pennsylvania touting his latest gun grab.
The $37 billion Safer America Plan, unveiled in July, aims to fund police departments, and provides grants for cities to reduce violent crimes. The proposal also calls on Congress to pass additional gun restrictions.
Rather than attack Republicans in Congress who might oppose the initiative, Biden mocked all conservative Americans who support the Second Amendment and believe that gun rights are necessary for self-defense and as a check against a tyrannical government.
“And for those brave right-wing Americans who say it’s all about keeping Americans independent and safe, you want to fight against the country? You need an F-15, you need something a little more than a gun,” Biden told the smallish crowd in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. “No, I’m not joking,” he added, even though no one was laughing. “Think about this. Think about the rationale we use.”

Before Biden, the only U.S. president to openly mock American citizens was his former boss Barack Obama, who derisively said of rural voters in flyover country: “It’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
Obama made the offensive remarks at a San Francisco campaign fundraiser in 2008.
President Trump was often accused of being divisive, but he reserved his barbs for Democrat officeholders, media critics, and others in powerful positions—never average, law abiding Americans.
During his speech Tuesday, Biden argued, as he often does, that the Second Amendment is “not unlimited,” and pointed out that some weapons are not allowed to be possessed in America today.
“The rights granted by the Second Amendment are not unlimited. They’re not unlimited. Right now you can’t go out and buy an automatic weapon or buy a cannon,” said Biden.
Biden also gave a shout out to far-left Democrat candidate John Fetterman, whom he said “would make a great United States Senator”—which seemed at odds with his newfound support for the police.
“Fetterman wants to release one-third of inmates, reduce sentences for murderers, and ‘reimagine” policing,’” the Republican National Committee (RNC) noted in a tweet.

Fetterman is running against Republican celebrity doctor Mehmet Oz, and is currently leading in the polls even though he refuses to debate Oz because he’s still recovering from a stroke from earlier this year.
Later, Biden called on Pennsylvanians to elect Josh Shapiro as senator even though he’s running for governor and to elect Fetterman as governor, forgetting that he’s running for Senate. Shapiro is currently the attorney general of the state and is facing will be State Senator Doug Mastriano, who was endorsed by Trump just days before primary voting day.

Oddly enough, Biden also touched on the opioid crisis in America, which has been exacerbated by his own open borders policies.
“Notice how many people are dying of opioid overdoses now?” Biden quizzed his audience.
