Report: Anti-Trump FBI Special Agent Forced to Resign, Is Escorted Out of FBI Headquarters in DC

A former Washington Field Office Special Agent was forced to resign and escorted out of the FBI’s headquarters on Friday after coming under congressional scrutiny for alleged political bias in his handling of politically sensitive investigations, two former FBI officials told The Washington Times.

According to the Times, Special Agent Tim Thibault, “was seen exiting the bureau’s elevator last Friday escorted by two or three ‘headquarters-looking types.’”

This news comes amid whistleblower allegations that he covered up derogatory info about Biden, and concealed his partisan sources for an investigation into Trump’s 2020 campaign.

Thibault was the FBI assistant special agent in charge at the Washington field office until “relatively recently,” FBI Director Christopher Wray told Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) during a Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing earlier this month.

On August 4, Kennedy grilled Wray about Thibault’s alleged history of partisan activity on social media, which included “liking” a Washington Post article titled “William Barr has gone rogue,” tweeting to Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) that her father was a “disgrace,” and retweeting a 2020 Lincoln Project post that said  “Donald Trump is a psychologically broken, embittered, and deeply unhappy man.”

Wray told Kennedy that he found the alleged social media posts to be “troubling.”

“I should say that when I read the letter that describes the kinds of things that you’re talking about, I found it deeply troubling,” he said.

Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) first raised alarms about Thibault’s alleged partisan actions in May, demanding that the Justice Department and the FBI investigate whether the agent violated department guidelines with his social media posts. Grassley sent a second letter to the Justice Department and the FBI in late July saying that he had received “highly credible” whistleblower accounts alleging that Thibault had downplayed or discredited negative information obtained about Joe Biden’s son during the 2020 election.

Grassley took to the Senate floor in June to draw attention to Thibault’s biased social media posts.

Earlier this month, Grassley confirmed to Just the News that the agent had been removed from his post and reassigned to an unspecified position. Now, according to The Washington Times, he has “abruptly resigned.”

Thibault is just one of several senior officials who appeared to handle politically sensitive investigations with extreme bias ahead of the FBI raid on Trump’s Palm Beach estate, Mar-a-Lago, according to the whistleblowers.

Richard Pilger, the head of the Election Crimes Branch of the Public Integrity Section at the Justice Department, reportedly “blocked numerous election crime investigations” and “was lionized on MSNBC“ for his opposition to investigating election fraud.

Whistleblowers told Grassley’s office that Thibault and Pilger played a pivotal role in opening an investigation into the Trump’s 2020 campaign based on information from a
“left-aligned organization.”

The pair were reportedly “deeply involved in the decision to open and pursue” the Justice Department’s investigation into Trump’s campaign, its advisers, and “individuals linked to electors during the 2020 election.”

According to the whistleblowers, the investigation was launched in large part over “January 2020 CNN news articles which relied on information derived from a liberal non-profit” organization.

They got approval for this investigation based on “selective assertions created in large part by Thibault and either removed or watered-down material connected” to left-wing media sources.

Grassley’s letter said that “multiple whistleblowers” have alleged that Thibault, Pilger, and other dirty cops employed “double standards” and “did not support FBI agents seeking to follow normal investigative procedures related to investigating election crime allegations during multiple presidential elections.”

According to Grassley’s July 18 letter, Pilger and Thibault were the individuals “deeply involved in the decision to open and pursue” the Justice Department’s investigation of Trump’s campaign, its advisers, and “individuals linked to electors during the 2020 election.”

Grassley said, “if these allegations are true and accurate, the Justice Department and FBI are—and have been—institutionally corrupted to their very core to the point in which the United States Congress and the American people will have no confidence in the equal application of the law.”

During his 25 year career at the Bureau, Thibault has reportedly worked on the Trump/Russia investigation, an investigation into Trump’s 2020 campaign, and the ongoing Hunter Biden probe.

How sad! The FBI was once a highly respected American Law-Enforcement Agency!
They have evolved into The Fumbling Bunch of Idiots!
