It’s horrible when innocent people die. Especially younger ones who are just starting out in life. It’s infuriating when politicians are responsible for the deaths of innocents.
We recently learned that Nancy Pelosi’s drunk-driving husband actually killed his brother. While he’s not a politician, some political families seem to have a lot of death associated with them.
It was been revealed that Pelosi’s husband killed his older brother when he crashed his sports car in California 65 years before he was arrested on DUI charges.
According to the Daily Mail, a local news report from the time reports that Pelosi was 16 years old when he crashed his car near San Mateo on February 22, 1957.
In the moments before his crash, Paul reportedly said his older brother suggested he slow down, Highway Patrol Officer Thomas Ganley said at the time.
Last Friday, two people were fatally injured in a car crash that involved Wisconsin Democratic Minority Leader Janet Bewley.
Bewley was actually talking on the phone with a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter when she pulled out of a beach entrance and into the path of another car. A 27-year-old woman along with her 5-year-old daughter sadly were killed.
Adding to the difficulty, Bewley told the reporter minutes before the accident that she had cataract surgery the previous day.
She was driving while on the phone with a journalist, and she had just had eye surgery. In many states, it’s illegal to talk on a phone without a hands-free set.
“Bewley, a Democrat who represents a district that covers the northwestern part of the state, pulled into the path of a car driven by 27-year-old Alyssa Ortman of Pennsylvania, according to police in Ashland, Wisconsin. When Ortman’s car collided with Bewley’s, it spun and was hit by another vehicle driven by 45-year-old Jodi Munson,” According to USA Today.
“Ortman’s 5-year-old daughter was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Ortman was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died, according to police,” the report continued.
Ben Baker, a reporting intern for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, part of the USA TODAY Network, was on the phone with Bewley at the time of the crash on Friday afternoon for an interview he had arranged with her staff about this fall’s elections for the Legislature.
Shortly after the interview began, Bewley told Baker she had cataract eye surgery the day before. Minutes later, she stopped talking mid-sentence and the call went silent. When Baker asked Bewley if she was still on the line, she sounded concerned. When Baker asked if she was OK, she said, “Yeah, I’m OK. This is not a good accident.”
“We’ll be sitting down with them and going over everything as far as determining how it all actually happened,” Bill Hagstrom, the Chief of Police for Ashland said. “Then we’ll forward everything to the district attorney for their review because it was a fatal accident.”
In an interview with Fox News, the State Patrol revealed that no charges had yet been filed and that the crash was being investigated by their team.
“The accident occurred on Friday just before 12:30 p.m. after Bewley pulled out of a Lake Superior beach entrance and into the path of a car driven by Alyssa Ortman, according to the Ashland Police Department. When Ortman’s car collided with Bewley’s, it spun across Highway 2 and was hit by another vehicle,” the outlet reported.
Ortman’s 5-year-old daughter was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Ortman was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died, according to police. Hagstrom said Bewley was not taken to the hospital.
The father of Kali, the daughter, is distraught and angry that a politician killed her and her mother. He says Bewley didn’t reach out to him.
Brandon Fink, the father, believes Bewley might get away with the crime because of her position. Fink is also a U.S. Marine.
“A devastated dad is terrified that Wisconsin Democratic leader Janet Bewley will not be charged after she was involved horror car crash which killed his five-year-old daughter and her mother,” the Daily Mail reported.
Heartbroken marine Brandon Fink has also blasted Bewley for not reaching out to him after the fatal collision in Pennsylvania, raging ‘great people we elect.’
Bewley, 70, had undergone cataract eye surgery the day before the crash which killed Alyssa Ortman, 27, and her daughter Kali.
Fink told the outlet: ‘I found out a Senator killed my baby and they might not even press charges even though she was on the phone during the accident.
‘And just had cataract surgery the day before. I’m furious and want this Senator to come to justice and pay for what she did like anyone else would have to.
‘She shouldn’t get away with this.’
The Mail also reported that “Alyssa’s mother Ginger has suffered double heartache after losing her son Chris to a drunk driver in October 2020.”
Khali and Alyssa’s memorial fund has so far raised $1,805, which will be used to bury the mother and daughter.
