Russia has sought an unprecedented and urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council on Friday in order to give irrefutable proof of the US’s “biological military activity on Ukrainian soil.”
Russian armed troops have unearthed irrefutable proof that the US military has been creating deadly pathogens and biological weapons in biolabs in Ukraine for decades, according to the Russian representation to the UN.
Russia claims to have proof of US-funded bio laboratories in Ukraine working on (1) bat coronavirus research and (2) biological weapon dissemination via migrating birds.
The Kremlin dispatched military personnel to secure the biolabs. In the process of securing them, they discovered a cache of documents purporting to show that the US has broken the international treaty governing chemical and biological weapons.
The Council, which had no scheduled activities on Friday, was called to meet at 10 a.m. (15:00 a.m. GMT) to discuss this one topic.
The Russian UN mission said on Twitter that they have “results of examination of documents linked to biological military activities of the United States in Ukraine,” backed up by a series of research on changes in bird and other animal behavior in that country.
The urgent meeting of the UN Security Council comes as Russia and the US trade allegations over the use of biological weapons in Ukraine. Yesterday, UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric responded to Moscow’s allegations by saying that the UN is unaware of any such use.
In recent days, the Russian government has claimed that its army discovered evidence of a “emergency disposal” of traces in Ukraine, implying the existence of an alleged biological-military program established in Ukraine and supported by the Pentagon, according to Moscow.
Employees of these biological laboratories purportedly reported the annihilation of extremely harmful pathogens such as plague, anthrax, tularemia, cholera, and other fatal diseases on February 24, according to Russian Ministry of Defense spokesman Igor Konashenkov.
In reaction to the “false” Russian charges against Washington, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki cautioned that Russia may be planning to use chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine.
Psaki also stated today that Russia “has a huge biological and chemical weapons program” as well as a “history of creating lies.”
