The ‘esteemed’ Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared at the World Economic Forum’s digital Davos summit to scold his fellow Americans for spreading COVID “misinformation” and to declare that he has “no idea” when the pandemic will end.
“Whether or not Omicron will be the live virus vaccination that everyone is hoping for is an open question,” Fauci told the WEF.
According to Fauci, the world is still in the first of five phases of a pandemic’s life cycle.
“The true pandemic phase,” according to Fauci, “when the entire world is actually very badly afflicted (as we are right now).”
Deceleration, control, elimination, and eradication are the other phases, in that order.
Eradication (smallpox) and elimination (polio) are “not gonna happen,” Fauci said.
The best that can be hoped for is “control” which means “you have it present, but it is present at a level that does not disrupt society.”
Fauci expressed hope that the Omicron variant represents an example of this third phase, but said, “that would be the case only provided we don’t receive another variant that eludes the immunological response to the earlier version.”
Other infectious disease experts agreed with Fauci, but warned that “Omicron will not be the final variety” and that “the world must be prepared for the worst-case situation.”

Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel chimed in to complain about “all the misinformation that we are seeing,” but sounded particularly excited at the prospect of developing a doubtless expensive “single annual booster” that would include “corona, flu, and RSV.”
