As crime in Portland skyrockets to levels unseen in years, the police union is essentially begging the city to re-fund police with new billboards.
The local news in Portland is covering this, noting that it’s not that police officers aren’t doing their jobs, but that they’re overwhelmed by the number of calls they’re getting and simply don’t have the manpower to deal with them.
According to Fox 12, there were 891 shootings in the city in all of 2020, and there are already 719 in 2021. In 2019, there were only 388.
Way to go, Portland. You are a shining example of how the Progressive Left destroys cities.
