Sleepy Joe woke up and stumbled out of his cave just long enough to give a rambling, gaffe-filled town hall with CNN this week.
One of the most interesting part was when he randomly brought up “Pinocchios” when asked about the CBO projection that a $15 minimum wage would eliminate at least 1.4 million jobs.
Biden doesn’t explain why the CBO is wrong in their analysis, but simply says there are an equal number of studies that say otherwise. He then explained if you raise it slowly, by 2025, it will be great for the economy or something.
But his plan is exactly what the CBO analyzed:
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) this week said Biden’s plan to raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour from the current rate of $7.25 by 2025 would take 900,000 people out of poverty that year, but would also cut employment by 1.4 million jobs.
It’s also ironic that he brought up Pinocchio, as he later told one whopper of a lie later on, claiming that they didn’t have a vaccine when he came into office:
That’s down right false. The first to get vaccinated happened in December, well over a month before he took office. There were over a million vaccinations the week he was inaugurated.
Either he’s lying intentionally or he just can’t remember that far back, heh. Take your pick. Either way, his nose is growing.
