Who would have ever thought that a violent protester who spits on police officers at violent riots would be tied to top-ranking Democrats? Oh, all of you?
The female suspect who allegedly spat in the face of an NYPD Sergeant was reportedly also an intern for Congressman Jerry Nadler before the event took place.
“The foul-mouthed female protester who was arrested Wednesday for spitting in the face of an NYPD officer once interned for a high-ranking House Democrat,” reports the Daily Mail. ”Devina Singh, 24, spent about a month in 2018 working as a social work intern for U.S. Representative Jerrold Nadler, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, the Daily News reported.”
“Devina Singh, 24, was caught on video without a mask and screaming at the sergeant, ‘F— you, fascist!’ before allegedly spitting at him,” adds the newspaper.
Chaos erupted in New York City overnight when protesters clashed with police; demanding officials across the country “count every vote” as the 2020 presidential election hangs in the balance.
“Videos shared to social media of demonstrations in New York City showed police and activists in heated confrontations. The NYPD announced about 50 arrests related to the protests. Police confiscated several weapons, including knives, a stun gun, and explosives,” reports Fox News.
