Philly Police Release Graphic Footage Of Walter Wallace Jr Shooting After Days Of Riots And Looting

The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office in conjunction with the Mayor’s Office has released a pair of videos showing two Philadelphia police officer’s encounter with Walter Wallace Jr., a man armed with a knife on Oct. 26, 2020.

The footage comes several days of riots broke out in the city and looters ransacked local businesses.

Police had previously said 30 officers were injured in the Monday night unrest, most of them hit with thrown objects like bricks. One officer was still hospitalized Tuesday with a broken leg after being purposely run over by a pickup truck, police said.
