What a mixed message Liberals have to live with, following horrendous internal polling numbers, Biden’s campaign realized that backing a bunch of individuals who not only threatened law enforcement but acted upon those threats was a losing proposition. After all, over half of the independent voting block that the campaign was trying to reach viewed the protests in a negative light.
What truly made this problematic for the Biden/Harris (or Harris/whoever) ticket was that most of those expected to vote for the Democratic party look favorably at defunding the police and burning their cities (and everyone else’s) to the ground.
Team Biden decided to pander to both those in favor of law and order along with those who prefer to have nothing that even resembles law and order. This might appear to be a gargantuan task, but Biden’s campaign has come up with what they hope to be a viable solution.
While Joe Biden could act as if he had just figured out that protests featuring rioting and looting were bad (and with Bumbling Biden this was not outside the realm of possibility), his attack dog (or attack bitch if you prefer) could put out truly ludicrous statements like the one she made during a recent speach to the NAACP
Nothing that we have achieved that has been about progress, in particular around civil rights, has come without a fight, and so I always am going to interpret these protests as an essential component of evolution in our country — as an essential component or mark of a real democracy,” the vice presidential nominee said during the NAACP’s national convention.
She added that protests were “necessary” as “the people’s voices must be heard, and it is often the people who must speak to get their government to do what it is supposed to do, but may not do naturally unless the people speak loudly — and obviously peacefully.”
Harris also praised the “brilliance” and “impact” of “Black Lives Matter,” which has received media praise but also come under fire for promoting left-wing stances like opposing the nuclear family. “I actually believe that ‘Black Lives Matter’ has been the most significant agent for change within the criminal justice system,” she said.
Demonstrating the high degree of tone-deafness that Harris and her running mate are known for, Harris made these statements following the shooting of two police officers during the “peaceful protests” in Louisville.
No doubt the families of those police officers, as well as the families of all the other innocent individuals killed or injured during these protests, will be comforted by Harris’ remarks about the awesomeness of Black Lives Matter, and the necessity of rioting
