After the news broke last night of Nancy Pelosi’s maskless visit to a closed salon in San Francisco to get a fancy haircut and highlights, the House Speaker’s name trended on social media for hours as she was blasted for her rank hypocrisy on the issue of following CDC guidelines during the pandemic.
Pelosi, who frequently berates Republicans including President Trump for allegedly putting lives in danger when they don’t wear masks or social distance, was busted when Fox News published a video Tuesday that showed her walking through the salon Monday with wet hair and without a mask at a time when local ordinances have kept salons closed to the common folks in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
For those who missed the video, watch it below alongside the interview she did just hours later ripping Trump and Republicans for not wearing masks and not social distancing during the RNC:
Fox News host Tucker Carlson spent several minutes last night on his show thoroughly demolishing Pelosi for her double standards, pointing out that going by her own supposed “standards” when it comes to respecting science on the Wuhan virus, she herself has “crushed science with her $20,000 Sub-Zero freezer, and then she ripped science apart like a State of the Union address“:
Hours after vising the salon, Pelosi appeared on MSNBC to attack President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus, specifically his decision to allow a small live audience witness his speech at the Republican National Convention last week.
“Bringing all those people there, no masks, no distancing, and the rest,” she said. “He slapped science right in the face.
“By that standard — and that is the standard now — Nancy Pelosi didn’t simply slap science in the face yesterday,” Carlson fired back. “No, by not wearing a mask and sneaking into a hair salon others are banned from entering, Nancy Pelosi did something worse. Nancy Pelosi drowned science in a $12-a pint designer ice cream cup. She crushed science with her $20,000 Sub-Zero freezer, and then she ripped science apart like a State of the Union address.”
Watch Carlson go off below:
I’ve said it before and will say it again: If it weren’t for double standards, Democrats would have no standards at all. None.
The mask is clearly off here – in more ways than one.
