Not so much as it turns out, it appears in fact as if the majority of effort made by the progressive politicians of California involve undermining this country in ways hitherto unimaginable. There are many examples of this in California, examples such as Adam “I’ve got the evidence honest!” Schiff, Ted “Looney” Lieu, Diane “Stocks, what stocks?” Feinstein and Maxine “Crazy! I’m not crazy. your crazy” Waters. These somewhat, Ummm let’s say “puzzled” politicians offer a pretty good representation of the state of Liberal politics in California
Schiff, Lieu, Feinstein, and Waters make up the four horse-people of the apocalypse in the Golden State, and they have all shown little interest in improving the lives of their constituents. It seems these uber liberals would rather resort to the age-old liberal ploy of offering the serfs umm people unfortunate enough to live under the rule err representation of these liberal icons that old adage of a hand out versus a hand up. Why else would this group be responsible for creating and passing legislation that makes it far more attractive to stay at home than to actually, you know, work?
But if you truly want a picture of the mess that liberal politicians have plastered all over California, look no farther than the Queen of Mean, Nancy Pelosi.
This left-wing mistress of the dark (with apologies to Elvira) is so full of compassion and understanding for the people of her district that she has allowed San Francisco’s homeless population to grow enormously, this homelessness crisis is driven significantly by the extremely high cost of housing in the area. Wikipedia (hardly a Conservative site) has stated that
In San Francisco, a minimum wage worker would have to work approximately 4.7 full-time jobs to be able to rent a two-bedroom apartment.
Well surely Queen Nancy Speaker Pelosi has worked hard to impact this problem and reduce the ALARMING number of homeless in her district, hasn’t she? Not according to an article appearing in “KUSI.com”. The article, which discusses the candidacy of San Francisco businessman John Dennis (who is running to unseat Pelosi in the upcoming election), states that
As you may know, San Francisco has an enormous homeless problem that seems to be growing by the second. Furthermore, San Francisco has some of the highest housing costs in the entire country.
Nancy Pelosi has been representing the San Francisco area as a member of Congress since 1987, and the problems have only gotten worse.
The following story appeared on that network that liberals love to hate, “Fox News”, and although this video is somewhat long (and highly depressing) it is also extremely informative and well worth a watch
Homelessness is awful, but surely Nancy’s home state of California is doing a great job confronting the COVID virus isn’t it? That (as the children say) would be a hard “no”. In fact, most of Nancy Pelosi’s attempts to “help” her community have been an abject failure. This was clearly demonstrated by such things as her efforts to improve tourism in San Francisco by promoting visits to Chinatown in late February (note: copy the CBS Video before it is long gone)
“CNBC” carried the story reporting that
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi toured San Francisco’s Chinatown Monday to send a message. She said there’s no reason tourists or locals should be staying away from the area because of coronavirus concerns.
“That’s what we’re trying to do today is to say everything is fine here,” Pelosi said. “Come because precautions have been taken. The city is on top of the situation.”
It’s important to remember that this took place in late February, the 27th of February to be exact, and the reason that’s important is that Speaker Pelosi claimed to have early knowledge of the virus, in fact, she said that “everyone in a position of responsibility” knew
Weird, right? Although Nancy appears to be deflecting like a madwoman above, she is certainly quick to accuse others of deflection. Particularly when speaking of the President.
A recent article appearing in the “Washington Examiner” discussed Pelosi’s criticism of the President
“The truth is that in January, Donald Trump was warned about this pandemic, ignored those warnings, took insufficient action and caused unnecessary death and disaster,” Pelosi wrote in a letter to colleagues. “The truth is a weak person, a poor leader, takes no responsibility. A weak person blames others.”
And yet, Pelosi herself “takes no responsibility” despite her claims of knowing all about the “self-evident” virus. In fact, Pelosi is a sitting member of the “Gang of Eight” and as such, she received basically the same intelligent briefings as the President, which makes you wonder why rather than focusing on a sham of an impeachment, the Speaker didn’t sound the alarm. If she truly cared about the people of her district – or the people of this country for that matter, she could have easily tabled the impeachment nonsense going on in the House (which was/is under her leadership command errr control) and tried to join forces with the President and Congressional Republicans to fight this virus. Perhaps that effort would have failed miserably, but we will never know because she never tried
It should be mentioned that Nancy Pelosi isn’t bad at everything! After all, there hasn’t been a pint of Ice Cream made that could stand up to the woman!
The Speaker is also good at tearing things up, such as President Trump’s State of the Union address and the Constitution. When not tearing up or eating things, Nancy Pelosi has been busy assuming a level of power that the Founder’s of this nation never dreamed of.
Just one example of the massive overreach engaged in by Pelosi would be the implementation of “proxy voting” by members of Congress.“Fox News” recently reported that
The U.S. House of Representatives made history Wednesday by conducting its first proxy vote since Congress first met in 1789 — as Republicans raised alarms over the temporary voting system implemented because of coronavirus.
The article by Marisa Schultz who covers politics for Fox also informed us that
More than 70 House Democrats — about a third of the Democratic caucus — alerted the House clerk they would be absent from Washington for the roll call votes but designated another member to vote on their behalf. No Republicans voted by proxy.
Keep in mind, the Senate is open, Burger King is open, McDonalds is open, the Post Office is open, your local garbage collectors are working as are a plethora of everyday Americans, all of whom are apparently more essential than 1/3 of the members of Congress. It’s hard to debate the idea that the House of Representatives is, for the most part, unnecessary, but regardless, Americans voted for these clowns people to actually represent their districts, and unless these Americans are unfortunate enough to live in Pelosi’s district, they did not vote for Nancy Pelosi, nor did they vote for some other clown person from some other district or some other state. The majority of Americans couldn’t pick these proxy voters out of a police lineup, but Pelosi for some strange reason doesn’t see a problem with that.
The overreach that Pelosi is attempting to force on this country cannot be tolerated. She doesn’t represent her district, she doesn’t represent the country, it appears as if the only thing that Nancy Pelosi really cares about…..is Nancy Pelosi
