Rep. Jim Jordan is now telling us that Adam Schiff is blocking the witness from answering specific questions from Republicans:

Here’s a snippet from Jordan:
“One of the things you do in these depositions is you ask the basics: who, what when, where, why – you ask those questions. When we asked the [witness] who he spoke to after important events in July, Adam Schiff says “no, no, no, we’re not going to let him answer those questions.”
Jordan says Schiff is acting as both chairman and lawyer for the witness in blocking these questions.
Jordan noted that Democrats have come out saying that Republicans are trying to learn the identity of the whistleblower, but he counters that by saying they are simply trying to figure out a witness list so that when they can call witnesses, they know who to call.
