The resolution to censure House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) failed on the House floor Monday night.
GOP Rep. Andy Biggs (AZ) introduced a resolution to censure Schiff for misleading the public, his reckless disregard for the truth and for reading a fabricated transcript of Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“These actions of Chairman Schiff misled the American people, bring disrepute upon the House of Representatives, and make a mockery of the impeachment process, one of this chamber’s most solemn constitutional duties,” the three-page resolution said.
Trump on Monday called on Congress to censure Schiff.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) responded by offering a motion to table Biggs’ resolution and it was adopted in a 218-185 vote.
Biggs blasted Schiff after his resolution failed to pass the Democrat-controlled House.

House Intel Chairman Adam Schiff fired off a sanctimonious tweet Monday night.
“It will be said of House Republicans, When they found they lacked the courage to confront the most dangerous and unethical president in American history, They consoled themselves by attacking those who did,” Schiff said.
