This should come as a surprise to no one. There have been reports that she was unhappy and Trump has publicly said he’s dissatisfied with her performance. And just like that, she’s out.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen is expected to offer her resignation at a meeting at the White House on Sunday, U.S. officials familiar with the matter say. Nielsen was set to meet with President Trump at 5 p.m., the officials said.

Also remember the reporting from last October that said John Bolton and former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly got into a shouting match over the border and how Nielsen was handling it.
