Nancy Pelosi’s Latest Stunt Removes All Doubt That Hollywood And Far-Left Politics Are In Bed Together

It looks like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the champion of the poor, the woman of the people, will be hobnobbing with Hollywood elites at a pre-Grammy Awards event over the weekend. Page Six reports:

Away from Washington, DC, Rep. Nancy Pelosi will hobnob with music elite on Grammy weekend, we hear.

The House’s Democratic speaker is among guests expected at Clive Davis’ annual pre-awards gala.

The mogul is getting offers as high as $100,000 per table to attend.

Others invited to the Beverly Hilton bash include Jamie Foxx, Post Malone, Diplo, Alice Cooper, Marc Anthony, Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Nancy Pelosi attended the same gala in 2017 that was attended by Beyoncé, Jerry Seinfeld, Pink, Sting, Timbaland, Tina Fey, John Legend, Martha Stewart and Cardi B.

In recent years, the presence of high-profile Democratic politicians at Hollywood events has significantly increased, a trend which was largely kicked into high gear by President Obama. In 2016, Vice President Joe Biden presented at the Academy Awards during which he gave a speech about sexual assault on college campuses to introduce a Lady Gaga song on the subject. The Vice President said:

Despite significant progress over the last few years, too many women and men on and off college campuses are still victims of sexual abuse. And tonight I am asking you to join millions of Americans including me, President Obama, thousands of students I’ve met on college campuses and the artists here tonight, to take the pledge — a pledge that says, “we will intervene in situations when consent has not or cannot be given.” Let’s change the culture. We must and we can change the culture, so that no abused woman or man, like the survivors you will see tonight, ever feel they have to ask themselves: “What did I do?” They did nothing wrong.

In 2013, then-First Lady Michelle Obama also presented the Oscar for Best Picture at the Academy Awards via live video feed. The winner that year was Ben Affleck’s “Argo,” which arguably whitewashed Jimmy Carter’s horrible record during the Iran hostage crisis by making him out to be a competent hero.

“These nine movies took us back in time and all around the world,” Michelle Obama said. “They made us laugh, made us weep, and they made us grip our armrests just a little tighter. They taught us that love can endure against all odds and transform our lives in the most surprising ways. And they reminded us that we can overcome any obstacle if we dig deep enough and fight hard enough and find the courage to believe in ourselves.”

Of course, none of those appearances could ever outdo the Academy awarding former Vice President Al Gore the Best Documentary Oscar in 2007 for his work on the largely-debunked “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Al Gore said during his acceptance speech: “We have everything we need to get started, with the possible exception of the will to act. That’s a renewable resource. Let’s renew it.”
