Round Two: Sarah Sanders Hits Comey With A Verbal Uppercut

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders blasted fired FBI director James Comey as a “shameless fraud” after his second round of Congressional testimony about his botched investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of an unsecured, private email server.

On December 17, Comey was questioned for five and a half hours behind closed doors. That testimony will released over the next day.

Sanders tweeted: “Republicans should stand up to Comey and his tremendous corruption — from the fake Hillary Clinton investigation, to lying and leaking, to FISA abuse, and a list too long to name. The President did the country a service by firing him and exposing him for the shameless fraud he is.”

Two weeks ago, President Trump torched Comey after learning that the Obama fanboy had repeatedly told Congressional lawmakers that he couldn’t remember numerous substantive details about the FBI investigation he oversaw.

As BizPac Review reported, more than 2,100 classified emails passed through Hillary’s unsecured home email server when she was Secretary of State from 2009 to 2013.

Of those, 22 were so top-secret that they were deemed too classified to be released to the public. Despite the mountain of damning evidence, Comey insisted that the FBI case against Hillary was “not prosecutable.”

James Comey was furious after he testified yesterday, and trashed President Trump and GOP lawmakers during a media scrum.

“The president is lying about the FBI, attacking the FBI, and attacking the rule of law in this country,” Comey told reporters. “Republicans used to understand that the actions of a president mattered, the words of matter, the rule of law matters, and the truth matters. Where there are those Republicans today?”

Comey then suggested that he was a heroic martyr and valiant Champion of Truth (ha! The self-delusion is strong with this one, as Yoda might say):

“At some point, someone has to stand up — in the face of fear of Fox News, fear of their base, fear of mean tweets — for the values of this country and not slink away into retirement, but stand up and speak the truth.”

When Fox News reporter Catherine Herridge asked: “The FBI’s reputation has taken a big hit over the last year. Do you share any of the responsibility for that?”

A smug Comey defensively shot back:  “No, the FBI’s reputation has taken a big hit because the President of the United States has lied about it constantly. And a whole lot of good people who watch your network believe that nonsense. That’s a tragedy. That will be undone eventually, but the damage [to the FBI] has nothing to do with me.”
