Megyn Kelly’s star at NBC has faded fast, even though she issued a groveling apology for her “blackface” comments. Kelly did not appear on NBC this morning (Oct. 25) amid reports that her morning talk show, “Megyn Kelly Today,” has been cancelled.
Multiple sources told the Daily Mail that Kelly is out. “Megyn Kelly is done,” said an NBC executive. “She is not ever coming back. We are just working out timing of the announcement, but mark my word – she is gone and will never be seen on NBC live again.”

The source added: “Here’s the worst part: Her deal is a non-break deal, so she walks away with all that money. It’s disgusting and heads should roll here because of it.”
Another executive said many people at NBC were annoyed that NBC heads Andy Lack and Noah Oppenheim didn’t fire Kelly sooner.
“Andy and Noah both should be held accountable too,” the executive told the Daily Mail. “They gave her the $69 million and all she has delivered is scandal after scandal. Add production costs and they are responsible for a $100 million dollar sh*tshow.”
Megyn Kelly left Fox News in 2017 to join NBC because she wanted to get away from covering politics and hard news. But sources say her stream of controversies on her morning talk show have taken their toll on NBC, whose patience has run thin.
On October 24, Megyn and her talent agency, CAA, parted ways — just one day after she drew volcanic backlash for her “blackface” comments.
Kelly insisted that she fired CAA — not the other way around — amid bitter disagreements over how to handle the “blackface” uproar, Mediaite reported. She also reportedly hired a top litigator, fueling rumors that she’s preparing to fight with NBC to negotiate her exit.
Kelly hired another representative — United Talent Agency — after leaving CAA. But hours after being hired, United Talent Agency told Mediaite that it dumped Kelly after NBC president Andy Lack slammed her at an NBC town hall meeting.
“There is no other way to put this, but I condemn those remarks,” Lack reportedly said. “There is no place on our air or in this workplace for them. Very unfortunate.”
As BizPac Review reported, Megyn should have seen the writing on the wall. After alienating conservatives by repeatedly trashing President Trump at Fox News, Kelly then proceeded to alienate liberals at NBC by speaking her mind without a proper leftist-PC filter.
Megyn probably realizes that liberals were never going to accept her when she pandered to join “their side.” They only liked her when she was on the “other side” attacking President Trump and Republicans. She now has no core audience.
