CNN’s Toobin Has LOST HIS MIND: Second Kavanaugh Accuser Sounds Like She Sorta-Maybe-Kinda Is Telling The Truth, Therefore, We Should Treat It As Concrete Fact

Even though the latest allegation that SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh exposed himself to a girl at a college party in the 1980s is suspicious — even by the media’s own admission — CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin is saying it has a “ring of truth.”

Speaking with CNN’s “New Day” on Monday, Toobin not only endorsed the credibility of the latest accusation against Kavanaugh, but he also said it’s “preposterous” to say accuser Deborah Ramirez is lying.

“I think it changes the whole story because it’s another credible corroborated allegation of sexual misconduct by Brett Kavanaugh a long time ago, and senators are going to have to decide whether it matters to them,” Toobin said. “I think it does change things, but this is an election with 100 voters, and we will see if they are interested in these facts.”

Toobin claimed that these latest accusations are credible because both sets of allegations involve parties and a drunk Brett Kavanaugh. He fails to realize that both allegations have no corroborating witnesses and only scant details.

“What’s striking about the allegation, it is similar in atmospherics to the high school allegation: The excessive drinking and the coercive relationship with women,” Toobin said. “If you read Mark Judge, the alleged accomplice in the first assault, the world he describes at Georgetown Prep of really absurd amounts of drinking, weird hostility towards women. It’s all of a piece. It is all consistent with one another. Are they all lies? Perhaps, but it certainly has a ring of truth to me. … The question is what are people going to do with this? The idea that it’s all made up seems sort of preposterous at this point.”

Toobin openly expressed dismay at the thought of a conservative replacing Anthony Kennedy the moment the SCOTUS Justice announced his retirement, warning in the first week that women should be concerned about Roe v. Wade.
