Ahead of President Donald Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland, on Monday, failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton decided to shoot off a bitter tweet criticizing the summit. But she only ended up embarrassing herself.
Following France’s victory in the World Cup on Sunday, Clinton thought it would be a good idea to use what’s supposed to be a unifying event to question Trump’s loyalties. “Great World Cup,” Clinton tweeted. “Question for President Trump as he meets Putin: Do you know which team you play for?”

Clinton should have known better. Her tweet garnered thousands of responses pointing out that she, unlike Trump, has never played on Team America. In fact, during her time as secretary of state, Clinton did nothing but pander to Russia’s interests.

But regular Americans weren’t the only ones who pointed out Clinton’s unbelievable hypocrisy. President Donald Trump also took both Clinton and Barack Obama to task, tweeting that they knew about “Russian Meddling” for years but only made a big hullabaloo out of it after Clinton lost the 2016 election.

Indeed, Robert Mueller’s special counsel has yet to find any evidence of Trump campaign involvement in Russian meddling. Even Harvard law professor and Clinton supporter Alan Dershowitz said last week that “no people around the president” were involved in the Russian hacking of DNC emails. Mueller’s probe is nothing but a diversion meant to appease bitter liberals who still refuse to accept that Trump was elected fair and square – Clinton included.
