One U.S. soldier has been killed in southern Afghanistan by what is being reported as an apparent insider attack. The attack which occurred Saturday left two other service members in critical condition.

The Defense Department is continuing to investigate the event and stated that the names of the service members involved would not be released until next of kin were properly notified.
