Illegal Immigrant Thought Trump ‘Was Just Talking Tough’, Found Out Real Quick That Zero-Tolerance Means ZERO-TOLERANCE

An illegal immigrant proved that President Trump’s zero-tolerance policy is working when she tried to warn others about the difficulties of entering the United States in a tweet earlier Monday morning.

Buena Ventura Martin Godinez stated that, “I would advise people to find another country to seek refuge. Because here the law is very tough. People don’t have a heart.”

Martin Godinez was temporarily separated from her 7-year-old daughter Janne for the last two months, according to CBS News.

The video showed Godinez crying about being separated from her daughter, but did not provide the reason the family was separated, nor did it add any personal details about the family.

President Trump implemented a zero-tolerance policy earlier this year and it has received significant backlash. U.S. border security was separating groups of adults and children so children had a place to stay as their accompanying adults — sometimes parents— were arrested for crossing the border illegally. The president recently signed an executive order to stop that policy though.

The immigration debate has continued to be a hot topic and has morphed into a referendum on the immigration customs enforcement agency in recent weeks. Multiple Democratic people in Congress have called for ICE to be abolished.
