Real Heroes, Ordinary Men – STUNNING New NRA Video Will Disarm Even The Coldest Liberal Gun Grabber

The National Rifle Association has cut through all the clatter and propaganda with their release of an amazing video which features Stephen Willeford an ordinary guy from Sutherland Spring, Texas, who just happened to heroically confront, chased down and shoot a madman who killed 26 people.

Perhaps you remember the Baptist Church in Texas that was shot up by a deranged killer – a bad guy, Devin Patrick Kelley who ran head-long into a good guy with a gun. But if the left had their way there would be no Stephen Willeford, the good guy with the gun.  They want people like Stephen Willeford and all of us, disarmed and they want to ban guns like the AR-15which saved countless lives in Sutherland Spring.

Unfortunately for the left, life it seems is much larger and tells a truly powerful story as this new ad by the National Rifle Association (NRA) featuring Stephen Willeford, a plumber from Sutherland Springs, Texas, dramatically shows.

“My daughter came into the bedroom and she said, ‘Dad, there’s a man in black tactical gear shooting up the Baptist church,” Mr. Willeford, a long-time NRA member, says as the ad begins; “Every one of those shots, to me, represented one of my neighbors, one of my friends, and I ran as fast as I could.”

“Immediately, he came out of the church shooting at me,” he recalled. “He hit the truck in front of me, he hit the car behind me, he hit the house behind me, and I hit him.”

“He had an AR-15, but so did I,” Willeford continued. “It’s not the gun, it’s the heart; it’s a matter of the heart. I’m not the bravest man in the world or anything, but I was here, I was here and I could do something. And I had to do something.”

Mr. Willeford, Texas plumber turned hero, wrote an opinion piece for the Dallas News earlier this week in which he talked about that terrifying and tragic day and reminded America about the importance and the absolute necessity of the Second Amendment and the NRA.

“Anti-gun politicians and anti-gun activists have made clear their belief that the way to stop criminals is to restrict the rights of law-abiding citizens, and many have blamed the men and women of the NRA for acts of deranged individuals. Sometimes, it feels like the mainstream media hates firearms,” he wrote.

“I am proof that they are wrong. I am also proof that the NRA’s familiar mantra is true: The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun,” he added.

“Last year, a mentally disturbed man entered a Baptist church in my hometown of Sutherland Springs and opened fire. I live across the street, and when my daughter told me there was a shooter and I heard the shots myself, I fell back on my years of NRA training, grabbed my AR-15, and ran across the street to engage the shooter. People say I saved lives that day. I hope that’s true. I did what the Lord called me to do,” he recalled.

“A lot of gun control groups out there talk about restricting gun rights, but criminals don’t obey laws,” he noted. “Those restrictions only affect law-abiding gun owners like me. They do nothing to increase public safety.”

Of course, Willeford is right.   Studies by several groups including the CDC show that millions of people use guns and rely on their absolute right to keep and bear arms, a right given by God and enshrined in the Second Amendment, to both defend themselves and prevent crimes every year in America.  Yet every year the left does all in their power to trash the constitution and erode the right of we the people to keep and bear arms, this despite the clear words of the Bill of Rights which says; “the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

Maybe we should start with the basics and give those on the left a dictionary, so they can see the definition of “to infringe” means to shorten, tamper with, curtail or lessen in some way.  Perhaps then they would understand the absolute language of the 2nd Amendment – the law of the land … But realistically it probably wouldn’t make a difference, because the rule of law means very little to the anarchists on the left.
