Melania Trump already caught everyone’s attention with her outfit on Monday today, but the photos of what she did later that afternoon are well worth taking a look at.
Donald and Melania Trump took a day trip to Cincinnati, Ohio where the president delivered a speech on tax reform, but the first lady split off on her own to visit the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
During her visit, Melania participated in a briefing on the dangers and negative health effects that opioids have on newborns.
After the briefing, Mrs. Trump visited with some of the young patients in an activity room where she handed out valentines and coloring books to each of them.
“Thank you, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center for a very warm and informative visit. I am so grateful for your continued research on combatting opioid abuse and for all you are doing for your patients,” the first lady said after her visit. “Children will always be my top priority, and I appreciated the opportunity to visit with the young patients today and witness firsthand their strength and spirit.”
The president and the first lady are expected to arrive back at the White House late Monday afternoon.
