Fox News contributor Juan Williams joined ranks with Neil Cuvato as he ‘debated the weight’ of slain Border Patrol Agent Rogelio Martinez, as it relates to supporting the building of a border wall. His comments came across as demeaning as he spoke of Agent Martinez’s brutal murder as no big deal since it was ‘only one we’ve had this year.’ Williams then continued to say that nobody wants a border wall at all.
Who has he talked to? Why are Fox News contributors making arbitrary statements about what the American people want? The polls and facts are out there, Williams, if you really wanted to have something to contribute.
“I don’t see why you would politicize it that as a basis for a wall when, as Jesse [Watters] says crossings are down, in fact, they are a record down and you’ve had only 38 agents involved in this kind of violence since , and one this year,” Williams said on The Five Monday afternoon.
“It’s just not a reason — ‘We better to rush to build… you better change your opinion on the wall, America’,” Williams concluded sarcastically.
Williams disregarded Watters’ input on the 720 Border Patrol agents assaulted during the first 11 months of FY 2017 (the last numbers available from CBP). The 720 agents assaulted represents a 67 percent increase over the previous year during the same period.
Williams also ignores the deaths of hundreds of illegal aliens who die each year while crossing the southwestern U.S. border, and the thousands who are injured, raped, assaulted, or held for ransom by human smugglers. Just saying…
